It’s been about two days since the General P pulled back into Massachusetts, officially ending the Team GDC GenCon 2015 experience. We’re all off on our respective IRL paths again – some of us back to work, others packing in preparation for house moves or touring Europe in the next phase of a worldwide vacation. I’m sure everyone is happy to be where the are – a week is a long time without family and routine.  But I think I can speak for the entire group when I say that I’m at least a little sad that the week is over and we aren’t all waking up in the GDC House for another day of great games, awesome new friendships, Magic cards, great food, and all-around good times.

This was an incredible experience for a whole bunch of reasons, and I miss everyone involved. You guys (and gal!) helped to make an awesome vacation all that much better, and while I’ve known you all to one extent or another for a while now, I can count you all as great friends for real. Thanks for everything, everyone. This is exactly what GDC is all about.

Shifting gears here, it’s nearly impossible to tie all of this up in one post, and I suspect that many of the other guys will be putting together stuff as well. For today, I wanted to drop some of the pictures we captured on the page, in hopes that those of you reading can try to share some of the experience a bit. Maybe you went, and maybe you’ll be inspired to go next year or the year after.  Maybe you’re in some of the pictures. No matter what, I hope you enjoy what you see.

There’s more to come – including a thorough unpacking of the Magic experience – but for now, enjoy the view.

The General P, our venerable chariot for the trip. For the record, it's about 15 hours from Masachusetts to Indianapolis. We long-hauled there Tuesday and back Sunday. Asa looks longingly at shotgun.

Pollepel Island. We were precariously viewing it from a few hundred feet above the Hudson, on the edge of a cliff. While Dave took a leak.

Games! Erik is on the right, with Kaka hiding behind him, and Pen in the foreground. There was something being played at this table nearly around the clock all week, from Commander to Ca$h 'n Gun$.

Check out the waiting crowds, eager to game on day 1.

Group lunch the first day at Mimi Blue Meatballs - lovingly mis-referred to by everyone as 'Mimi's Blue Balls.' Sliders and beer were both wonderful.

ZOMBIES! I think this is where Cass tried to epically screw Dave, burying him in an angry horde of the undead.

To celebrate, team GDC went to Road Warrior on Friday night. Roughly ten other people were in the stadium. What is wrong with everyone?

That only gets us half way through the photos. More to come, along with actual content! Hey yeah!
